One Year Guarantee: This puppy has no known physical/congenital defects. If within the first full year of the puppy's life, the puppy is diagnosed by at least two certified veterinarians as having a life-threatening genetic defect that is not treatable, the buyer may return the puppy for a comparable replacement puppy (breeder's choice) when one becomes available. All expenses associated with the return of the puppy are the responsibility of the buyer. If buyer chooses to keep puppy after being diagnosed as having a congenital defect, all related expenses are the responsibility of the buyer. In the event of death due to congenital defect, an autopsy must be performed and a lab report done to determine cause of death. This is to be done by a licensed veterinarian of breeder's choice. If it is found that the puppy was abused in any way, this guarantee is void.

Refund Policy, first 72 hours: It is the buyer's responsibility to submit the puppy to a veterinarian for a complete health assessment, at the buyer's expense, within 72 hours following receipt of puppy, otherwise this full contract/guarantee is void. The puppy may be returned (in the same way puppy was delivered) for any reason within the first 72 hours for a refund of the purchase price minus the non-refundable profit, if accompanied by proof that puppy has been seen by your veterinarian and is well at return. This refund will only be made if the buyer properly reassigns registration to breeder (if applicable) AND the puppy is not sick or modified in any way (hair cut, neutered or spayed, death, etc.). All expenses associated with a return are the responsibility of the buyer. After the initial 72 hours, there will be no cash refunds, only replacement if necessary.

Reversion Policy: Should buyer be unable or unwilling to care for the puppy during its lifetime for any reason whatsoever, the breeder is to be notified and the breeder will have first opportunity to either take puppy back or find a suitable home for puppy. The purpose of this is to ensure the proper care of the dog.

Have your veterinarian check the puppy's teeth at 6 - 8 months to see if removal of any retained puppy teeth is necessary. If retained teeth need to be removed, this is usually done at the time of spaying/neutering (if applicable), so pup does not have to be put to sleep more than necessary. Breeder prefers NOT to use LEPTO in puppy shorts of adult booster. Please alert your veterinarian to this when vaccines are given. If puppy needs to be anesthetized, please use only isoflurane gas anesthesia. Do not expose puppy to unvaccinated dogs or allow puppy to run in parks or other places dogs go until 10 days after their last vaccination.

During the transition period of going to e new home, pups can exhibit temporary signs of illness due to stress that may include sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, diarrhea, constipation, etc. To help reduce signs of stress, feed the puppy the identical food as the breeder and offer bottled water, as well as taking reasonable measures to reduce stress......no long periods of rough play and no long periods of crying. You can reduce stress by slowly introducing them to the household as well as limiting the time they are with strangers, children and other animals.

Food ~ Purina Pro Plan Small Breed Puppy Chow. I made food and water available at all times.
Vaccine ~ Duramune Max 5-CvK (The Puppy Shot) Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Coronavirus, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus. (MLV & KV)(Kt. Dodge) Has the KF-11 isolate parvovirus.
Heart worm prevention ~ Heartguard Plus (once a month treatment). Starte when the puppy is 12 weeks old. This also guards against hookworms and roundworms.
I do not recommend Rabies vaccine until the puppy is at least 6 months old and will not vaccinate before then. You may talk with your Vet. and make a decision at that point whether you will vaccinate earlier.
Hypoglycemia
Hypoglycemia is defined as abnormally low blood glucose (sugar) levels. The brain requires sugar for normal function, and unlike many other organs, the brain has a very limited ability to store glucose. Stress, low body temperature, poor nutrition, sudden change in feed, water and schedule patterns, infections, and premature birth may precipitate the onset of hypoglycemia. The signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia are similar regardless of the cause. These include lethargy, weakness, in coordination, seizures, nervousness, tremors and hunger. Some puppies may only exhibit weakness or a wobbly gait. In severe cases the puppy may become unconscious. By giving a quickly absorbed source of sugar (syrup, honey, or jam) by mouth you may be able to control the symptoms. If not treated it can result in death. Make sure your puppy has food and water at all times.
